About Roman Chamomile
Roman Chamomile is a low-growing, perennial chamomile prized for its sweet apple-like fragrance, delicate white flowers, and soft, creeping habit. Unlike German Chamomile, which grows upright and produces heavy yields, Roman Chamomile forms a fragrant groundcover and is often used between stepping stones, along borders, or in herbal lawns.
This is a gentle, beautiful, and calming plant—perfect for tea gardens, cottage gardens, sensory gardens, and medicinal landscapes.
Traditional & Herbal Uses
Roman Chamomile has been traditionally used as:
• A calming tea herb
• A gentle nervine
• A traditional sleep-supporting plant
• A digestive soother
• A comforting household herb
• A children’s tea herb
• A gentle daily-use flower
• A soothing botanical
The flowers are the primary medicinal part.
