Abundant Elderberries is our own special variety that we’ve been growing and improving for years. Selected from vigorous native elder stock, this strain was chosen for its consistently high yields, strong growth, and ability to thrive in our climate. After several seasons of selective propagation, it has become a standout among elderberries — dependable, productive, and well-suited for herbal use or fresh processing.

We propagate each plant ourselves from mature, healthy mother plants. Every cutting is rooted and grown with care, and is shipped as a well-started young plant ready to take off in your garden.

Abundant Elderberries grow fast and reach 6 to 12 feet tall when mature. They produce full clusters of white blooms in early summer, followed by large bunches of dark berries in late summer. The berries must be cooked before consuming and are excellent for syrup, tea, jelly, wine, or tincture.

This variety performs best in full to part sun and moist, rich soil. It requires cross-pollination to set fruit, so we recommend planting two or more of our Abundant Elderberries together — or pairing with another elderberry type nearby.
